When prompted with the task to create a children’s toy using only wood, I decided to design a developmental toy. Inspired by my passion for the disability field, this project was my first opportunity to showcase my interests. As a result of my research, I implemented the crucial steps in early development into my product. The building blocks help with hand eye coordination and the sliding star/beads assist in motor skill practice.
