This race car driver helmet was created for a protective head device project during my second year. Remaining true to my disability field passion, I decided to create a helmet with a neck stabilizer to reduce spinal cord injuries. This race car driver helmet was designed with a foam cushion interior and a hard fiber glass exterior. The display case for ‘The 313 Helmet’ features hand drawn logos and a rotating steering wheel to attract the customer.

Materials: Fiber glass, plastic, spray paint, repurposed cushion, leather, bristol board.
