The Goose

The Goose

A part of the IID third year ‘Ramp Race’ at Syracuse University, this vehicle is fully functioning. This sleek vehicle has notes of vintage flair with a modern twist. Through many sketches, Solidworks files and prototypes, this concept was transformed from a design in CAD into a hand built working model. The car was built from laser cut acyrlic plates and 3D printed wheels. The shell was CNC printed, vacuum formed, and then finished with spray paint. The smooth curves increase aerodynamics while the wheel caps provide protection. No glue or tape was allowed to be used during the building of this car model.

Materials: Acrylic, resin, FFF, screws, metal rods, plastic, spray paint.

Production: Solidworks modeling, laser cutting, CNC printing, vacuum forming, 3D printing, Keyshot.
