A look into my process.

Research

Ordering take-out is convenient, but lacks the charm of dining in a restaurant, where ambiance and presentation enhance the experience. How can we bring that same sense of excitement to eating at home?

Sushi is my sister’s and my favorite food, but whenever we order it at home, it always ends up a mess! In restaurants, sushi chefs put so much care into it’s presentation.

There is nothing like the joy of seeing our food arrive in a wooden boat, making the experience feel extra special. Take-out shouldn’t be boring.

Focus

Bringing the same excitement and atmosphere to meals at home is possible by focusing on the packaging and presentation.

  • Shape beyond market norms

  • Interchangeable labeled inserts

  • Removable sauce compartment

This take-out sushi boat increases organization, while creating a fun experience! No more upside down rolls, sauce covered containers, or unwanted wasabi contamination.

Inspiration

It’s design prevents smushing and contamination. Inspired by a bento box, this concept features interchangeable & customizable dividers.

To offer a more sustainable alternative to plastic take-out containers, this alternative is made entirely out of recycled paper.

This product can be seamlessly integrated into any busy kitchen. It is easy and quick to assemble.
